Wrapped like a Christmas present

French movie called Frontière(s) turned out to be better what I expected. Usually I don't get excited about horror movies that involve sadistic torture around easywritten plot. But in the end this movie wasn't traditional story of a inbred hunter family, and I found myself thinking this was ok to watch.

Few scenes reminded me of Evil Dead II or the Brain Dead because of the blood.

I will not give stars, as they are so last season...instead I will give my expression during this movie:

Advent calendar and Christmas stocking

I've obviously been stung by a handwork-bee because I've done some handwork pieces lately. As one result, I made me and my husband an advent calendar that is used also as a Christmas stocking. I found this cross-stitch model from a sale already on November and was able to finish it a week ago. Even thought we weren't able to use calendar from the first of December, we will be able to use it in future for the Christmas time. And of course it's in use for the rest of days, while we wait for the Father Christmas to show up. We don't have a chimney, but in Finland the red, jolly fellow has learned to use the front door as every decent human being.

I shall see what project will gain my precious time in near future :P

Toy for Carrycot

When my good, childhood friend got a baby boy, I made him a toy for carrycot. Time to time I like to crochet cute figures called Amigurumies (you can find different instructions from Internet easily), and I've learned to create different kind of variations. This toy had four different animals - a monkey, as I hope the boy will be playfull. A giraffe, as I bet he will become tall. A penguin, as he is cute. And a wolf, as it is my friend's favourite animal.

My husband said I should make a toy for our baby as well. He already knows one figure the toy should have - MacGyver figure :D
